Convention & Visitor Bureau Familiarization Tour Series
This series of familiarization tours (FAM tours) is held throughout the year to acquaint tourism industry front line and sales personnel with the wonderful attractions and amenities in the Montgomery region. Additionally, specialized FAM tours are offered to group tour planners to acquaint them with area attractions of interest to their specific group. The CVB schedules a series of four tourism industry FAM tours (one per week for four weeks, four times per year). Approximately 160 industry professionals attend these regularly scheduled FAM tours each year. Specialized group FAM tours are scheduled at group planners' request and average 5-10 tours per year with 3-25 participants per tour. Convention & Visitor Bureau National Tourism Day Seminar
The Chamber's Convention & Visitor Bureau, in conjunction with the Alabama Bureau of Tourism & Travel, celebrates National Tourism Week in May each year. During the week, an informational seminar and luncheon is presented to address current issues in the tourism industry. This event is open to tourism industry professionals from throughout the state. Entrepreneurial University
Entrepreneurial University uses a curriculum designed by the University of Colorado called NXLevel for Entrepreneurs. NXLevel for Entrepreneurs is a 12-session course designed for would-be and existing entrepreneurs to expand their knowledge on developing and growing a small business. The sessions are facilitated by experienced business educators with prominent business leaders as guest speakers, offer networking opportunities with local business leaders and participants, and one-on-one business counseling and support. Groundhog Job Shadow Day
Groundhog Job Shadow Day is the Chamber’s most successful public education project. The program enables high school juniors and seniors to spend the day with business professionals, helping them to understand the link between classroom learning and earning potential. Approximately 100 students and area businesses participate. Companies who host a student on Groundhog Job Shadow Day attend a two-hour training session. Each of the participating students receive a Job Shadow Day student kit including a notebook, pen, and disposable camera Students share their experiences in classroom presentations following the event. Inter-City Visit
The Chamber’s first inter-city visit will be held in 2008 with elected officials, business owners, community leaders, and key stakeholders. The Minorities & Women in Business Initiative offers programming targeted to the meet the growing needs of minority and female entrepreneurs and professionals. Chamber membership is not only the primary funding mechanism for the Chamber, but it is also truly the life blood of the organization. Each month the Chamber mails to more than 3,000 business and elected leaders, providing a monthly newsletter, calendar of events, and business opportunities from fellow Chamber members. The 9x12 “Building Business” envelope provides an excellent marketing opportunity for the business that is selective about their target audience.

Community Information Packet (Relocation Packet)

Convention & Visitor Bureau Family Reunion Guide
This four-color publication includes information and tips for planning a family reunion in the Capital City. Information includes CVB services and contact information for event planning. Ambassador Committee
The Ambassador Committee is a group of approximately 75 chosen individuals that are Chamber members who help represent and promote the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce as well as promote their own business to other companies at various Chamber events.

Small Business Resource Center Advertising Panels
Four professional advertising panels are featured in the most prominent hallway of The Small Business Resource Center. The Small Business Resource Center is the hub for entrepreneurial development in the River Region and host to a multitude of meetings, training seminars, Entrepreneurial University, walk-in traffic, and Center clients and customers each day. Panels are located in the hallway of the front side entrance to The Center and will remain in place for one year.

Small Business Resource Center Meeting Room
The Small Business Resource Center is the hub for entrepreneurial development in the River Region and plays host to a multitude of business and community meetings, training seminars, Entrepreneurial University and more. This room is the Center's most frequently utilized space, Meeting Room #216.

Visitor Center Advertising Commercials (20-30 second spot)
The Montgomery Area Visitor Center is gearing up for a complete redesign, which will include four Plasma TVs located on each side of the entrance and exit doors. One TV will be designated for 30-second commercials and static ads. The ads will run Monday-Saturday from 8am-5pm and then on Sunday noon-4pm. Throughout the week, the ads will run more than 277 times and throughout the year they’ll run more than 14,000 times. The ads will reach more than 50,000 visitors (recorded) a year. Sponsor is responsible for production and may change the commercial as often as they want during the year. The Montgomery CVB has creative control over the commercial and has the right to refuse it if deemed offensive or inappropriate.

Completed in 1898, the three-story building and magnificent train shed reflect the way travel was conducted in the 19th and 20th centuries. The Visitor Center offers a wide variety of services, including a video on the region, a gift shop and a professional staff that demonstrates what southern hospitality is all about. The ad panels are placed all around the Visitor Center and are visible to the 50,000+ visitors who come through each year.
